I'm sorry... but $150 for that? I may start calling my son's plastic skate board ramp a portable pitching mound also.

not saying I would pitch off the ramp. My point was it is a portable mound. It kind of looks like a block. Forums are great
Opinions run the spectrum. I am sure it is a great portable mound, I just would not use it.

Me neither... no landing area and not really wide enough to work on pick-off moves. I do like the part about "don't let your pitcher practice from the 'wrong' height". Like the heights of the mounds that we play on in the area are all the same! Made out of high grade plastic though! It just makes me laugh that you can charge $150 for a square piece of plastic. ; )

It's not meant to replace an actual mound, rather just give a good option if your without the real thing. There is plenty of room for pick of moves, we use it every week.
It was designed by several MLB ex-pitchers. The idea is to force young pitchers to transfer their weight toward home.
Your right, it's not for everyone. Dicks and Academy are going to carry them, they will retail for under 100 bucks!! Shipping is a major cost of the 149.
Good luck to you guys this year!

Or you could pull this apart and have two pitching mounds for $30! ; )

Oh well, to each his own I guess. If you find it worth the money, more power to you.
Good luck to you this year also.

Not using ramps
I built a portable pitching mound, with collapsible wheels so it can be moved easily. Much less that this one, much larger and heavier but can come apart easy too. Perfect for our home use.
