New team forming for NKCA 11U
« on: August 03, 2010, 10:15:18 AM »
A newly formed team, the KC Mud Devils are in the infancy stages of building a new 11U baseball team for fall.  We are looking to fill our roster for fall but are also looking for players that are interested in building a new and exciting team for the future.  Our goal for the 2011 spring season is to build an 11U team that will help us build a highly competitive team that will have the ability to compete at higher levels.  We are looking for all positions with skills determining positions.

We would like to meet with interested kids and parents to discuss our philosophies in person but here are some of our goals, objectives, and a little about us.

The coaches (Jerry Lavender and Jeff Swafford) were former assistant coaches to the Northland Nationals. Our passion for the game helped turn the Nationals in to a winning team taking second place in league play.  It has been a long time goal to coach our own team and we decided that now is the time.  We bring four core players with us and look to build from there.  We both believe in the exact same coaching style: fundamentals, positive motivation and building a team.   We believe that these attributes, especially positive motivation,  will help us build a highly competitive team that will always have fun along the way and build lifetime relationships between the kids, the parents and the siblings.

If you would like to be part of this new tradition, please contact either of us at the numbers below.
